L-Glutathione
Gamma-Glu-Cys-Gly antioxidant tripeptide · Longevity Research
The cell’s principal thiol antioxidant, studied in redox models.
L-Glutathione is a tripeptide of glutamate, cysteine and glycine joined by an unusual gamma-peptide bond that resists standard peptidases. It is the dominant intracellular antioxidant and a standard substrate in oxidative-stress and detoxification research. Research use only.
Available sizes: 1500mg · Form: Lyophilized powder

How it is studied
- Radical scavenging (Redox) - The cysteine thiol donates reducing equivalents, the basis of most oxidative-stress assays.
- GPx and GST catalysis (Enzymatic) - Serves as the required cofactor for glutathione peroxidase and S-transferase enzyme families.
- Redox homeostasis (Cellular) - The GSH/GSSG ratio is a standard readout of cellular redox state.
